Should Invader-glorifier K Asif Get Padma Award? (Mughal-e-Azam)

BJP politician Vijay Goel must have an excellent reason for seeking Padma Vibhushan (India’s second-highest civilian award) for K Asif – writer-director of the contorted historical drama Mughal-E-Azam. We wonder what that reason is.

This scene below, written by Asif, glorifies the lineage of Islamic invader Taimur, who massacred millions of innocent Hindus, grabbed their properties and destroyed their temples. This movie is upheld as a great classic from Bollywood.
