He is low quality film maker who pushed sleaze. Now overhyped by government as cinema expert. In Bollywood movie Saudagar, Amrish Puri played role of a tharki villian with multiple marriages. Notice the tripund tilak. This tilak wasn't necessary. It was done to normalise the association of Hindu symbols with evil. And that's how Bollywood has always worked. In reality, Abdul marries 3-4 times as per his religious laws. But, they won't show it in movies because Abdul Chicha's role of a good old guy is fixed in movies.
